WOOL PILLOW CARE GUIDE
Woolhome pillows are known for their comfort and durability, and taking care of your new Woolhome pillow will ensure you and your family can enjoy the most comfortable sleeps you’ve ever had for the life of your pillow. There are three steps to taking the best possible care of your Woolhome pillow, which we’ve summarised and explained in more detail below. Please note that wool pillows have specific washing and care instructions. Please ensure all care labels are read prior to washing.
The Three steps are:
Washing Your Pillow Regularly
Drying Your Pillow Properly
Know When to Replace Your Pillow
Here’s a detailed explanation of each step.
WASHING YOUR PILLOW
Some people wash their pillows and others don’t, choosing instead just to wash their pillowcases.
For maximum hygiene, and to ensure your Woolhome pillow retains its comfort and support qualities for as long as possible, we recommend that you wash your pillows monthly, reading the care instructions on the care label of each pillow before you do so as the washing method will vary depending on your pillow.
When machine washing your pillow (as advised on the care instruction) it's best to set your washing machine on the ‘delicate' or ‘gentle' wash cycle, and use a mild liquid soap to keep your pillow smelling fresh, and looking clean and white.
DRYING YOUR PILLOW
Pillows with different fill types may have different care instructions, so when it comes to drying your pillow, it’s best to read the care instructions on the care label of the pillow you are washing and drying before you do.
As a general rule, we don’t recommend putting Woolhome pillows in a tumble dryer.
For best results, dry your pillow on a flat, shaded surface, and dry it thoroughly before reuse or storage. Do not iron your pillow.
How long it takes your pillow to dry will depend on the fibre it is filled with. For best results, we also recommend that you pull the pillow into its proper shape while it’s still wet.
KNOW WHEN TO REPLACE YOUR PILLOW
Taking great care of your new pillow is very important, but so too is knowing when to replace it.
Woolhome polyester and cotton pillows generally last up to two years with good care and normal use.
After that time they begin to lose the superior comfort and support qualities they’re famous for.
To make it as simple as possible for you to tell when to replace your Woolhome pillow, most Woolhome pillows are date stamped with the date two years ahead of the day they’re made, as a guide.
CONCLUSION
Investing in a good quality new Woolhome pillow is one of the best investments you can make for you and your family.
There’s nothing better than a great night’s sleep, and for the best night’s sleep and comfort you can trust, there’s only one choice, Woolhome.
